1. Add the tracking script
After signing up, your dashboard gives you a unique tracking key. Add this script tag before the closing </body> tag on every page you want protected:

The script loads asynchronously and never blocks page rendering, so it has no measurable effect on Core Web Vitals or Google Ads Quality Score. If you're using a site builder or CMS that only supports a global head/body snippet field (Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Squarespace), paste it there. It works the same way regardless of what the rest of your site is built with.
2. Or use the WordPress plugin
If your site runs on WordPress, the plugin installs the same script automatically, no manual editing required. Install it from your WordPress admin dashboard, activate it, and enter your API key from your ClickPurity dashboard when prompted.

Automatic IP exclusion requires connecting your Google Ads account so ClickPurity can apply exclusions through Google's official Ads API. You'll be prompted for this during onboarding; it uses OAuth, the same permission flow you'd use to connect any third-party Google Ads tool, and can be revoked at any time from your Google Ads account settings.
Verifying the install worked
Once the script is live, your dashboard checks for events received from your domain and shows a confirmation once traffic starts coming in, typically within a few minutes of your first page visit after installing. If you don't see events after visiting your own site a few times, double check the script tag is present in your page's rendered HTML (view source, not just the editor) and that no ad blocker or content security policy on your site is blocking the request.
